Welcome

Scott, Maya and I are so excited to welcome family from all over the country for Maya's baptism and to celebrate her (un)birthday!

Maya's birthday party will be on Saturday, May 23rd and her baptism will take place on Sunday, May 24th at 11:00am at First Presbyterian Church (with a brunch to follow at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens). However, we are excited to welcome folks to Birmingham from Friday the 22nd through Monday the 25th (Memorial Day).

This blogspot website will have as much information we can have to help you plan your trip to Birmingham - including accomodations, sites of interest, a weekend schedule and general info about the weekend. Please check back as more details are added!

We look forward to seeing you all soon!

Where to Stay

Here are a few suggestions of local hotels:

The Hotel Highland - not only is this a great spot, right in the Five Points South area, but it's also really close to our house!

The Redmont - shares a parking lot with our church, First Presbyterian Church, and has some good dining nearby

The Tutwiler - One of Birmingham's historical spots, and also near the church

Cobb Lane Bed & Breakfast - Very close to our house, but I think it might be booked for the weekend

And just to give you a frame of reference while your deciding where to stay, here are google maps of the church and our house:
